This may not provide sufficient control over where your data is actually stored, it has implications related to data protection, and may expose your data to scrutiny by the US government.

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“FOIA”) came into force on 1st January 2005 and gave the public new rights of access to recorded information held by public authorities – and email is considered part of that ‘recorded information’.
