Proactis' secure in the Cloud with InTechnology's IaaS Platform
12 June 2012
Procurement software provider, Proactis is now using InTechnology's business grade Cloud to offer its Spend Control application as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) to its customers.
In response to customer demand, Proactis has offered its software as a hosted service for several years; however it recognised that the Cloud could offer technological benefits as well as improving the security and reliability of its service delivery to customers.
Proactis wanted a partner that could offer a secure, resilient, 24x7 Cloud platform to support all of its clients, which includes organisations from a variety of sectors including legal, financial services, public and not-for-profit sectors streamlining their procurement processes.
Impressed with its highly secure data centre, Proactis chose to partner with InTechnology as it was able to offer the scalability required to support the evolving needs of its clients.
Sean McDonough, COO, Proactis said: "Most companies are quite rightly paranoid about their data. They need to know where it is and who's looking after it. It was vital to get it right."
"InTechnology and Proactis have both achieved ISO 27001 certification, the international best practice for an Information Security Management System (ISMS), which shows the importance we both place on this as a component for the delivery of Cloud services."
"Our customers will not accept a sub-standard service or the inherent risks of a sub-optimal approach to the provision of these services. InTechnology was able to offer access to a state-of-the-art data centre and an enterprise-grade Cloud platform."
"Its Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) model is perfect for us, as best- in-class provider ourselves, we needed to work with a similar specialist and creating a Cloud platform from our offices was not something we could realistically achieve."
"With a minimum of 12,000 users on the Cloud platform at any one time, only a truly robust and reliable solution was going to meet our customers' demands. InTechnology's IaaS platform allows us to meet this challenge on a daily basis."
Natalie Duffield, director at InTechnology said: "Proactis offers best-in-class software; we offer best-in-class data centres and infrastructure. The partnership between us has resulted in a best-in-class SaaS offering that supports Proactis' reputation as a world-leading procurement provider."
"We have worked with Proactis to provide a flexible and scalable service to support its clients' current and future needs."
InTechnology provides Proactis with hosting for terabytes of customer data as well as the firm's own mission-critical data. Additionally, it provides managed online data backup and virtual service hosting, hosted IP telephony and a range of network services and private Internet access.
InTechnology has recently strengthened its business-grade Cloud offering by opening a next-generation, data centre in Reading that features energy-efficient technologies and state-of-the-art monitoring equipment throughout.
