Cloud Circle squares up to reality with help of InTechnology
24 October 2010
On 16th September 2010, The Cloud Circle held its 3rd Forum event to help address the challenges of cloud computing raised by members.
In keeping with previous events, the agenda was geared to the sharing of practical knowledge, coalface experience and thought leadership to help drive debate and understanding.
Heading up one of the day's 'transformational case studies', Cloud Circle regular InTechnology plc invited Giles Insurance Brokers Ltd to provide an invaluable client perspective on the realities of Cloud-based services. In an insightful, unbiased and engaging presentation Giles's Richard Corner replayed his own journey into the Cloud, mapping out the considerations and challenges, pinpointing the operational and financial benefits and highlighting the rich potential for further business transformation.
Commenting on its client-led participation, InTechnology's Richard Quine said: "The Cloud Circle has quickly established itself as the stand-out forum for service providers and organisations looking to engage and to drive both understanding and utilisation of Cloud-based services. Its value and integrity lies in the fact that it demands that you leave the sales pitch at the door and come armed only with honest opinion and hard facts. Encouraging a client to give an unalloyed, 'warts and all' view of its own experience was very much in keeping with that spirit and serves to contribute yet more weighty argument to the debate."
A complementary white paper has been produced in keeping with the Cloud Circle 'no hype' approach.
