Barker and Stonehouse case study

Barker and Stonehouse are the UK’s largest independent family-run furniture retailer and online store and have been providing a range of high-quality furniture since 1946. Across the company they have nine stores, four warehouses and employ over 300 staff.

The challenge

  • Wanted to solve performance problems by upgrading its network
  • Needed to send very large graphic files between locations
  • Effective technical support
  • Proactive network monitoring and management

The solution

  • Initially installed network solution onto their smaller sites then overhauled the entire network once confident with its resilience and performance
  • During the implementation of the network, two additional stores were added to the Barker and Stonehouse portfolio. This led to the trial of IP telephony at these sites and then rolled out across more locations
  • Management of network routers is included in the price
  • Enabled the easy merger of North, Midlands and South service departments into a single centralised department

Why Redcentric

  • Impressed by product quality and staff
  • Excellent service at a compelling price
