Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) uses a range of technologies to steer application traffic to geographically distributed infrastructure for either DR or load sharing purposes. Redcentric’s Site Load Balancing Service (SLBS) is optimised to steer user traffic to customer environments deployed upon resilient infrastructure in Redcentric data centres only. Redcentric’s SLBS uses precisely the same technologies as GSLB, namely Domain Name Service (DNS) based redirection.
