Supporting smarter working in GP surgeries – Transformational telephony

You hear a lot about digital transformation within the public sector these days so it’s encouraging to see clear evidence of what that actually looks like and the positive impact it’s having on both care providers and patients.

A recent BBC news story focused on how technology, in this instance Redcentric’s Unity telephony solution and Akixi’s KPI wallboard, is supporting smarter working at the busy Hall Green Health practice.

With more people than ever being encouraged to go to the doctors rather than their local A&E, the surgery – a group of 20 hard-working GPs, physios and pharmacists, can see over 1000 patients a day. Efficient call handling and on-going data analysis is proving crucial in helping the Hall Green team deliver a faster, better service in the face of this pressure – not just in terms of coping with demand but also driving up performance around appointments, test results and prescription delivery.

It’s encouraging to see the tech we talk about making a difference where it matters on the public health frontline.
