Providing stability for MSPs in a shifting VMware landscape

The continuing changes across the VMware ecosystem are reshaping how UK service providers deliver and operate cloud services. For many Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and Managed Service Providers (MSPs), this has prompted a deliberate pause. Not because of a lack of capability, but because navigating a more centralised partner model now requires greater care, clarity, and sequencing.

Redcentric’s role in this environment is not to push decisions or reinterpret vendor change. As a Broadcom Pinnacle Partner, our responsibility is to act as a stabilising layer, absorbing platform and licensing complexity so partners can preserve continuity today while planning next steps on their own terms.

Built to support partners, not replace them

A recurring concern across the channel is the risk of losing independence when working with a larger platform provider. This is understandable. Many MSPs and CSPs have spent years building trusted customer relationships, differentiated services and and well-defined commercial models.

Redcentric Cloud is designed explicitly to support those models, not compete with them. Partners remain the customer facing provider, retaining ownership of the relationship, service wrap and commercial outcomes. Redcentric provides the compliant VMware Cloud Foundation platform underneath, operating within Broadcom’s supported direction so partners do not have to.

Our approach is designed to support continuity, not disruption, ensuring that the relationships and services you have built remain intact as the ecosystem evolves.

Maintaining control where it matters

For technical teams, one of the most sensitive issues created by the upcoming VMware changes has been administrative access and operational control. The challenge is rarely a lack of understanding of VCSP requirements, but how to continue operating efficiently without increasing risk, overhead or delay.

Redcentric Cloud supports flexible management and access models that align with Broadcom guidance while preserving justified administrative control where it is genuinely required. Responsibilities are clearly defined and agreed, allowing technical teams to continue delivering reliable services while Redcentric carries the platform and compliance burden expected of a Pinnacle Partner.

Existing VMware estates are protected through support for VMware Cloud Foundation aligned architectures, including brownfield alignment of vSphere 8 environments where appropriate. This approach minimises disruption, avoids unnecessary rebuilds and preserves existing tooling, integrations and operational processes.

Clear VMware routes, chosen on partner terms

Every partner is operating from a different starting point, shaped by hardware lifecycle, commercial exposure and customer expectations. To reflect this reality, Redcentric Cloud supports three recognised VMware routes, all underpinned by the same stable platform.

Adopt
For many partners, Adopt is the most pragmatic first step. It allows existing VMware services to continue running cleanly while stabilising licensing and operational risk, without forcing immediate transformation.

Consume
Redcentric private cloud capacity can be used for new or incremental workloads, enabling progress without procurement delays or platform rebuilds.

Evergreen
A fully managed, refreshed platform delivered in the data centre of choice, removing ongoing hardware lifecycle and capacity planning burden.

These routes are not one way decisions. Partners can move between them as requirements change, preserving flexibility and avoiding early commitments that restrict future choice.

Planning realistically towards 2027

While avoiding rushed decisions is sensible, the technical timeline is fixed. For many VMware estates, 31 March 2027 has become a planning anchor.

In practice, hardware lead times, procurement cycles, and migration complexity mean the window for genuine choice often closes earlier than expected. Acting now is not about committing prematurely. It is about ensuring commercial and operational options remain available when they are needed.

Starting planning discussions early allows Redcentric Cloud to be used as a platform for controlled transition, rather than as a last minute response to renewal pressure.

Creating space for better decisions

Redcentric Cloud is designed to create breathing space. By stabilising the platform layer, partners gain the clarity and time needed to make informed decisions about how and when their services should evolve.

Backed by Broadcom Pinnacle Partner status, Redcentric provides a compliant, auditable, UK sovereign VMware Cloud Foundation platform that reduces uncertainty without dictating direction. The objective is simple: protect customer continuity today, while keeping tomorrow’s options open.
