My background primarily revolves around the data centre and cloud industry. Previously, I served as the head of sales for 4D Data Centres, a company operating two sites in the southeast of England. Following the acquisition of 4D by Redcentric in June 2022, I transitioned into the role of Head of New Business and now includes managing the SME account management team as well. Throughout my career, I’ve been heavily involved in securing contracts with prominent clients. These contracts have often been integral to strategic data centre projects, and my expertise lies in understanding what our data centres can offer and leveraging this knowledge to drive business growth and client satisfaction.

 

Redcentric’s data centre portfolio encompasses a range of facilities acquired through strategic acquisitions, including sites from Sungard and 4D, alongside their own locations. This consolidation has provided Redcentric with a significant presence across the UK, particularly in the southeast of England and Yorkshire regions.

Recently we have managed the migration of customers from Harrogate to Elland, which is a key data centre facility for Redcentric in the North. Elland is recognised for its purpose-built infrastructure and scalability, making it an attractive option for enterprise deployments in the Yorkshire area.

Additionally, ongoing investments in cooling and power infrastructure at Heathrow have bolstered its appeal to clients, with recent successes including securing a multi-million-pound contract with a network services company. This demonstrates Redcentric’s commitment to enhancing the efficiency and capabilities of its data centre locations to meet the evolving needs of its customers.

One of the recent projects I’ve been involved in is a multi-million-pound contract with a network services company, marking a significant milestone for Redcentric.

The benefits to the customer are numerous; firstly, our investment in Heathrow’s infrastructure, particularly in cooling and power systems, has ensured a high level of reliability and efficiency for the customer’s operations. This reliability translates into uninterrupted service delivery, minimising downtime, and maximising productivity for the customer.

We were able to provide a flexible, future-proof pricing model which provides the customer with cost predictability around energy costs over the duration of this long-term contract. By offering this we are protecting the customer against unforeseeable uncertainties and providing long-term financial stability and peace of mind.

Overall, the customer has seen that Redcentric is customer-centric, can deliver value-added solutions that meet their unique requirements, and through our strategic investments in data centre infrastructure, we can help them manage costs and at the same time support the growth of its business.
